Seniors to Seniors
It is a special program initiated by Mentoring Ministries through which pensioners or other people in Europe help the pensioners from East Europe. Not a long time ago the average income of a pensioner in East Europe was of 10 Euros. This is the reason why Mentoring Ministries launched this challenge for the pensioners in the West to help the pensioners in East Europe with 10 Euros for a person. Dear friends: In the year 2009 we were able to help many older people in Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary and Poland. Again this year we want to help many elderly in East Europe with a packet of food items, which gives them much joy and pleasure, to be given them during the Christmas season. In this way the co-workers want to use the opportunity to give them the Gospel in different ways, either with a visit to the home, or in a church group. The poorest pensioners of the village will be given a packet of food items that has been assembled for them. Through the program of Senior Citizens help Senior Citizens, we have been able to build a well; a cow and chickens provided for a family; and help for needy senior citizens. Other projects are being planned, to give long-range assistance. We are again asking for your donation for this Event 2010.
In order to be able to give this money to the various staff members by mid November, we would ask that your donation be submitted no later than November 10, 2010. In this way we have sufficient time to get the money to the various countries.
